Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen, distinguished leaders and judges. It's really my great pleasure to be here.

So my purpose of being here is to change this kind of view. In my opinion, wherever you study, the most important point is yourself. Things are decided by your position. I mean I'm not going to win a prize for myself, but to win much honor for my hometown. A Brother Like That A Brother Like That A friend of mine named Paul received an automobile from his brother as a Christmas present. On Christmas Eve when Paul came out of his office, a street urchin was walking around the shiny new car, admiring it. "Is this your car, Mister?"
he said. Paul nodded. "My brother gave it to me for Christmas."
The boy was astounded. "You mean your brother gave it to you and it didn’t cost you nothing? Boy, I wish . . ."
He hesitated. Of course Paul knew what he was going to wish for. He was going to wish he had a brother like that. But what the lad said jarred Paul all the way down to his heels. "I wish,"
the boy went on, "That I could be a brother like that."
Paul looked at the boy in astonishment, then impulsively he added, "Would you like to take a ride in my car?"
"Oh yes, Id love that."
After a short ride, the boy turned with his eyes aglow, said, "Mister, would you mind driving in front of my house?"
Paul smiled a little. He thought he knew what the lad wanted. He wanted to show his neighbors that he could ride home in a big automobile. But Paul was wrong again. "Will you stop where those two steps are?"
the boy asked. He ran up the steps. Then in a little while Paul heard him coming back, but he was not coming fast. He was carrying his little crippled brother. He sat him down on the bottom step, then sort of squeezed up against him and pointed to the car. "There she is, Buddy, just like I told you upstairs. His brother gave it to him for Christmas and it didn’t cost him a cent. And some day Im gonna give you one just like it . . . then you can see for yourself all the pretty things in the Christmas windows that Ive been trying to tell you about."

我竞聘的岗位是初中英语教师岗位，竞聘这一岗位的理由如下：
一、思想政治方面
本人热爱祖国、热爱人民、拥护中国共产党的领导，忠诚党的教育事业。
二、职业道德方面
严格履行中小学教师职业道德规范，为人师表，严格遵守岗位制度，严格恪守人民教师的职业道德，积极参加公益事业。
三、业务方面
从教多年来，从未间断过继续教育学习，取得了英语本科学历，计算机甲级乙等，县、市级骨干教师培训证，英特尔教师培训证等。
四、教育教学工作能力
1、胜任英语教学工作，在联考中我所任教班级的英语成绩名列前茅；曾在全县初三英语教师会上做了经验交流；先后三次参加通化县区域教研教改公开课，受到同行们的好评，并被教师进修学校授予“课改优质课”的光荣称号。
2、胜任班主任工作，特别是转变脏乱差班级的管理方面，取得了极大的成绩，被评为市级优秀教师。
3、胜任教研组长工作，能够协调好领导和老师之间的关系，团结协作，做好教研组长工作。历年来我们组都是第一个开展教研课，各顶活动都走在最前面，得到上级领导的肯定，多次被评为优秀教师。

综上所述，本人符合竞聘中学英语教师岗位所具备的条件和素质，故向各位评委和老师提出申请。
如果我能够竞聘上这个岗位，我打算从以下几个方面改进自已的教学工作，提高自已的`教学水平。
a）更加科学规范地做好日常教学工作，认真落实教学常规工作，确保教学质量稳中有升。
b）顺应教学改革方向，积极参加教学改革。根据英语学科的特点，我打算开展“任务型教学”实验活动，把学习者个人的生活经历作为课堂学习的主要资源，力图将课堂内的语言学习与课堂外的语言活动结合起来。
c）结合英语学科特点和学生实际情况，配合学校的校本教研，设计并开展丰富多采的英语实践活动，进一步拓展学生的视野，培养学生各方面能力。
d）加强个人修养，练好基本功。进一步树立自已强烈的事业心和责任感，加强自已的工作能力和工作艺术，顾全大局，维护学校良好形象，努力调动学生的学习积极性，提高教学质量，力争在教学中体现实力，在工作中保持动力，在学生和老师的交往中凝聚合力。

下面我谈一下，我竞聘英语教师的几个优势和条件：
1、有良好的师德。
我为人处事的原则是：老老实实做人，认认真真工作，开开心心生活。自己一贯注重个人品德素质的培养，努力做到尊重领导，团结同志，工作负责，办事公道，不计较个人得失，对工作对同志有公心，爱心，平常心和宽容心。自从参加工作以来，我首先在师德上严格要求自己，要做一个合格的人民教师！认真学习和领会上级教育主管部门的文件精神，与时俱进，爱岗敬业，为人师表，热爱学生，尊重学生，争取让每个学生都能享受到最好的教育，都能有不同程度的发展。
2、有较高的专业水平。
我从淄博师专数学系毕业后曾到山东师范大学进修英语教学培训，系统而又牢固地掌握了英语教学的专业知识。多年来始终在教学第一线致力于小学英语教学及研究，使自己的专业知识得到进一步充实、更新和扩展。
3、有较强的教学能力。
从选择教师这门职业的第一天起，我最大的心愿就是做一名受学生欢迎的好老师，为了这个心愿，我一直在不懈努力着。要求自己做到牢固掌握本学科的基本理论知识，熟悉相关学科的文化知识，不断更新知识结构，精通业务，精心施教，把握好教学的难点重点，认真探索教学规律，钻研教学艺术，努力形成自己的教学特色。我的教学风格和教学效果普遍受到学生的认可和欢迎。

1、认真贯彻执行党的教育路线、方针、政策和学校的各项决定。
加强学习，积极进取，求真务实，开拓创新，不断提高自己的综合素质、创新能力，用自己的勤奋加智慧，完成好教学任务。使我校的英语教学上一个大的台阶。
2、做一个科研型的教师。

3、做一个理念新的教师。
目前，新一轮的基础教育改革早已在我市全面推开，做为新课改的实践者，要在认真学习新课程理念的基础上，结合自己所教的学科，积极探索有效的教学方法。大力改革教学，积极探索实施创新教学模式。把英语知识与学生的生活相结合，为学生创设一个富有生活气息的真实的学习情境，同时注重学生的探究发现，引导学生在学习中学会合作交流，提高学习能力。
4、做一个富有爱心的老师“不爱学生就教不好学生”，“爱学生就要爱每一个学生”。
作为一名教师，要无私地奉献爱，处处播洒爱，使我的学生在爱的激励下，增强自信，勇于创新，不断进取，成长为撑起祖国一片蓝天的栋梁。 用质朴的心爱护学生，用诚挚的情感染学生，用精湛的教学艺术熏陶学生，用忘我的工作态度影响学生。

记得还是在师大念大学的时候，天天听着、看着师大校训"学高为师，身正为范"，我就下定决心要以此为目标，做一个受孩子爱戴的好老师。两年前，我从学前教育院校毕业，踌躇满志地从大学校门里走出来，满怀信心地踏进了这满是孩子们的天堂。
有人说儿童是一本书虽然要读懂这本书并非易事，但要成为一位出色的教师就必须去读它，并且打算读一辈子。有人说，儿童是花木，教师是园丁，园丁悉心照料着花木，但需要尊重它们自然地成长。实际上，儿童比花木要复杂的多，教师的工作比园丁的工作也复杂的多，尽管他们拥有着共同或共通的规律。
