Work and Play
Work and play do not contradict each other; in fact, they complement each other. As the saying goes, "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy." A life burdened with work leads you nowhere, for you would get tired and bored with your daily routine work. On the other hand, proper recreation will relieve the tension and discomfort of our monotonous life because it offers you various ways to let out your pent-up emotions.
What I usually do to relax after school is jogging and seeing movies. Usually I don't spare time for exercise, but I value the physical education class at school. Jogging several rounds in the field certainly relieves the day's pressure. On weekends, I'll catch the morning movie for my visual enjoyment. I feel revived and energetic for another week's work-load.
Today I am very glad to be here to share with you my ideas of success. What is success? It is what everyone is longing for.Sometimes success would be rather simple. Winning a game is success; getting a high grade in the exam is success; making a new friend is success; even now I am standing here giving my speech is somehow also success.
However, as a person’s whole life is concerned, success becomes very
complicated. Is fortune success? Is fame success? Is high social status success? No, I don’t think so. I believe success is the realization of people’s hopes and ideals.Nowadays, in the modern society there are many people who are regarded as the successful. And the most obvious characteristics of hem are money, high position and luxurious life. So most people believe that s success and all that they do is for this purpose. But the problem is wether it is real success. We all know there are always more money, higher position and better condition in front of us. If we keep chasing them, where is the end? What will satisfy us at last? Therefore, we can see, to get the real Success we must need something inside, which is the realization ofpeople’ hopes and ideals.
Different people have different ideas about success; cause people’s hopes and ideas vary from one another. But I am sure every success is dear to everybody, cause it is not easy to come by, cause in the process of our striving for success, we got both our body and soul tempted, meanwhile we are enlightened by the most valuable qualities of human beings: love, patient, courage and sense of responsibility. These are the best treasures. So now I am very proud that I have this opportunity to stand here speaking to all of you. It is my success, cause I raise up to challenge my hope.
What is success? Everyone has his own interpretation as I do. But I am sure every success leads to an ever-brighter future. So ladies and gentlemen, believe in our hopes, believe in ourselves, we, every one of us, can make a successful life! Wish you all good success!
I think every student in junior high school or even a new term the first class meeting is a＂new semester new plan，＂the University did not expect to have such a ban would be the same. I received a devastating blow to my self'confidence in the first interview of my college years. I applied to be a host in our Student Acting Troupe and felt confident that I would be accepted. But one of the panel members told me: “You seem inadequate and you are a little vertically'challenged.” My life has never been the same since. I used bigger heels to complement my height and psychological maneuvers and tricks to hide my lack of confidence. But no matter how hard I tried to look the part, there was still something missing. As president of English Club, I organized the rehearsal of Snow White for an English party. Unfortunately, we could not find an actor to be the last dwarf. It had to be someone who was humorous by nature and fluent in English. Suddenly, all eyes turned to me, and I knew I would have to be the dwarf. To my great surprise and delight, once on stage, I was totally absorbed in the performance and my humorous nature was put to full use. As the dwarf, I was a big hit.
Yes, each of us is only one among millions of others, but each of us is an individual and each of us is unique. Cultivating our individuality will transform our lives, making of them a kaleidoscope of new colors and textures.
A world deprived of diversity would be a bland and boring place. The real tragedy is not being short or shy or ugly, but having your identity lost in a world in which everyone is a clone of a model cool boy or a flawless charming girl.
Given a choice, I would rather be ugly than live in such a world. I'd rather be a genuine dwarf accompanying a Snow White than be a Snow White among nothing but Snow Whites. I would rather be myself. Then today I’d like to talk something about honesty.honesty means speaking the truth and being fair and upright in act. There are just a few of words，however，doing it completely is one of the most difficult things. By contrary，Those who lies and cheats is dishonest，those who gain fortunes not by hard labour but by other means is dishonest.

Therefore，honesty is the traditional virtue of the Chinese nation，we should inherit it and not let it break in our generation.
However，now the situation is not optimistic. In the tide of commodity economy today，it seems that more and more people believe in money at the sacrifice of honesty. This is a reason why phenomena of dishonesty upward trend. In people basic necessities of life，it is flooded with fake and shoddy milk，drainage oil；in the political field，many officials have no honesty carring some false bureaucratic activities or movements；in the social life field，many people believe that good faith is a kind of stupid behavior. Nowadays,with more and more serious problem such as the global increasing temperture,the melting ice and the rising sea-levering,people are recognizing the important of developing the low-carbon economic now.
There are many ways we can do to reach the loe-carbon economic.Fristly,discovering others fuels which is more clean and more green to instead of the using of carbon.Secondly, we should have the save-energy conscious and do something which we can make,for instance,using the bus ranther than car when you go out,re-use the thing that can be recycle used,reducing the use of plastic bags.Last but not least,we should plant more trees or other greenplants,in which way we can not only improve the environment,but also can make our home more beauty.
In my opnion, the most important thing to reach the low-carbon economic is everyone must try their best do what they can do for it.Once everyone have the sence of low-carbon economic and have the action by themselves ,it will be earlier to reach it.
Another deep impression of my university is her creativity and profundity. As is known to all， she has a wide range and prehensive style. No wonder I can enjoy the multi-ceolored life here. Every school year a diversity of petitions and aetivities are held and a large number of students take active part in them. I do appreciate such a style， and in my mind's eye， she resembles a tall tree silhouetting with all shapes of branches while stretching far into the blue sky.

The first time I entered the campus as a freshman， I was deeply attracted by her cultural atmosphere and historical connotation. Apparently it is worth every effort to probe into her world for the sake of both physical and mental enrichment. Her humanistic spirit inspires me to care for everything around， even the most trivial one.
On the other hand， catching up with the times， Fudan is modern and smart. You see， the many age-old buildings here are actually great libraries and labs. Scientific and technological developrnent is easily smelt in the air，because she never lags behind the world.
Fabulously， such a historical and scientific school is far more than an operational mechanism. Her everlasting youth and vigor beam through every corner of the campus and the young in school vivify every piece of concrete and wood here. Usually, if you act faster, you can reach your goals earlier. but it isn’t always the case. if you emphasize only on speed but ignore the quality of your work, your effect will be the opposite.
Suppose you are preparing for your final examination. there are a lot of exercises to do and many notes to memorize. the fact that you have not enough time makes you very worried. therefore, you have read and write continuously, without rest, without sleep, without relaxation. the result is that your brain is less and less efficient, your process is slower and slower. the situation goes from bad to worse. all your efforts lead to nothing.
On the contrary, if you do your preparations with a calculated plan and carry out the plan step by step, your work will be effective. consequently, you will take part in the exams confidently with good preparations.
